This policy explains how TradeBanta, operated by Tradebanta Inc., uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage, device identifiers and pixels on our website and mobile apps.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and mobile SDK identifiers — do the same job inside our apps. Where this policy says "cookies", it covers all of them.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the Platform to work at all: keeping you signed in, remembering your session and wallet currency, protecting forms against cross-site request forgery, rate limiting, fraud prevention and load balancing. These cannot be switched off without breaking the service.
Preferences
Remember choices you make: light or dark theme, region and currency, dismissed banners and onboarding steps, and your last-used market filters.
Analytics and performance
Help us understand which pages and markets are used, where errors occur and how quickly pages load. Data is aggregated and used to improve the product, never sold.
Marketing and attribution
Measure whether a campaign, referral link or partner brought you to TradeBanta, and limit how often you see the same promotion. Referral attribution cookies expire 30 days after your first visit.
3. Third parties
Some cookies are set by service providers acting for us — including our hosting and database provider, authentication provider, payment and payout partners, push-notification provider and error-monitoring tools. These providers may only process the data for the purposes we specify. See our Privacy Policy for the categories of recipients and international transfer safeguards.
4. How long cookies last
- Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser or app.
- Sign-in cookies persist until you sign out, or up to 30 days of inactivity.
- Preference cookies persist for up to 12 months.
- Analytics and attribution cookies persist for up to 12 months.
5. Your choices
- Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or trading.
- Mobile devices let you reset or limit the advertising identifier under system privacy settings.
- Marketing emails and push notifications can be turned off under Settings, Notifications.
