Trading on TradeBanta should stay enjoyable. This page explains the tools we give you to stay in control, and where to get help if trading stops feeling like a choice.
1. Trade with money you can afford to lose
Every prediction contract can settle at zero. Only stake funds that would not affect your rent, food, tuition, medical costs or debt repayments. Never trade with borrowed money, and never trade on behalf of somebody else.
2. Signs to watch for
- Chasing a loss with a larger stake straight afterwards.
- Trading to escape stress, boredom or low mood rather than because you have a view on the outcome.
- Hiding your trading from people close to you.
- Spending more time or money than you planned, repeatedly.
- Borrowing, selling possessions or using funds set aside for bills to keep trading.
3. Tools available in your account
- Transaction history. Every deposit, trade, settlement and cash-out is listed under Transactions so you can review exactly what you have staked over any period.
- Take a break. Contact support and ask for a cooling-off period. We can suspend trading and deposits on your account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 6 months. Cash-outs of an existing balance remain available.
- Self-exclusion. Ask support for permanent self-exclusion. We will close trading access, cancel marketing messages and refuse to reopen the account. Any remaining balance is returned to a verified account in your name.
- Marketing controls. Turn promotional emails and push notifications off at any time under Settings, Notifications.
- Account closure. Settings, Account contains a permanent deletion request.
To request a break or self-exclusion, email support@tradebanta.com from the address on your account, or open a ticket from the Support page. Requests are actioned within one business day and cannot be reversed early.
4. Age, eligibility and identity verification
TradeBanta is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. Accounts opened by minors are closed and funds returned to source. Prediction markets are not available in every jurisdiction — see our Terms & Conditions.
Every account must complete identity verification (KYC), including date-of-birth confirmation, before trading or moving money. We may ask you to re-verify at any time. Accounts that cannot be verified — or where the details suggest the holder is under 18 — are restricted or closed, and any balance is returned to source.
5. Financial risk
Trading on TradeBanta involves real financial risk. Every position can settle at zero, which means you can lose the entire amount you stake on any market. Prices move quickly with news and demand, and you may not always be able to exit a position at the price shown. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose, and read our full Risk Disclosure before you trade.
6. Protecting other people
Do not share your account, your device or your login codes. If someone in your household should not have access to trading, use device-level controls and keep your credentials private.
